Ruby Falls – One of Southeast’s Must See Attractions

Ruby Falls
While visiting some friends in Tennessee, we decided to tour Ruby Falls in Chattanooga.  It is a 145-foot high underground waterfall located within Lookout Mountain. The Falls are located at the end of the main passage of Ruby Falls Cave, in a large vertical shaft. The stream, 1120 feet underground, is fed both by rainwater and natural springs. It collects in a pool in the cave floor and then continues through the mountain until finally joining the Tennessee River at the base of Lookout Mountain. Florida State Capitol Building – The Sunshine State

FL Captiol FrontA wonderful trip to the panhandle of Florida, lead us to stop in Tallahassee to tour the Florida State Capitol. It is an architecturally and historically significant building, having been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. What we found interesting is that there are actually two buildings. We eagerly decided to tour both, if we could. When we arrived, we found out that they do have guided tours, but we missed the last one for the day, but were able to pick up a self-guided tour brochure and found our way around this amazing capitol building. Our 4 Top Mongolian Grill Restaurants near Denver

BD's LogoBD's Mongolian GrillA great thing about traveling is trying different local restaurants. As newer residents to the state of Colorado, this made it easy 🙂  We decided to start with checking out several Mongolian restaurants in the Denver area.  The first one we tried was BD’s Mongolian Grill,  and we absolutely love this place. For those of you who haven’t been to a Mongolian restaurant before, a lot of the them are buffet style, have food bars with lots of meat, veggies, and starches that you put into a bowl, then are cooked on a huge round grill adding sauces at the end. It is great, and you can have a lot of fun mixing and matching food, veggies, spices and sauces. Continue reading “Our 4 Top Mongolian Grill Restaurants near Denver”
