St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum – Florida

St. Augustine Lighthouse I have been intrigued by lighthouses for a long time, thus I was very happy to be able to go and see the St. Augustine Lighthouse when we were in Northern Florida.  The St. Augustine Lighthouse is located on the north end of Anastasia Island, was built in 1874, and is the most recent of a number of towers built in the area. It is truly incredible.   Continue reading “St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum – Florida”

Empire State Building – The Experience

Late last year we visited New York City for the first time and it was amazing. I absolutely fell in love with the city. One of the best days in New York was spent running around Midtown with Karen, one of the customers of the company I worked at until 2009. It was a blast, and we couldn’t have had a better today. However, nothing compared to the phenomenal views atop the Empire State Building. The only thing that even comes close to this would be the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It was definitely an experience. I will share our t our visit in a moment, but I would like to tell you a little about the building itself first. Continue reading “Empire State Building – The Experience”
