Royal Gorge Bridge & Park – Our Thrilling Visit Part 2

On my last post I shared some of our visit to the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park in Canon City. It was a spectacular visit.  Here is a link to Part 1 in case you missed it.  I ended that post after watching the video in the Plaza Theater. I left the theater sad, but glad that no one was hurt during the fire that destroyed much of that park. Happily the park was able to reopen after much clean up, planning, planting, and rebuilding. Water Wheel Park and Bridal Veil Falls Video- Idaho Springs, CO

A short and easy walk from downtown Idaho Springs in Colorado will bring you to Water Wheel Park and Bridal Veil Falls. I later learned it is called the Charlie Taylor Waterwheel Trail. The trail goes under Interstate 70 then goes west for about 1/10th of a mile before it arrives at the best viewing area for Bridal Veil Falls. There were so many dogs walking around with their owners, enjoying the warm weather. Later we set out on a patio with other dog owners and had a beer and some pizza. It was a great day, and we definitely want to go back for a long weekend sometime. Thus, it made me thing about traveling with pets and how it can be difficult depending on the city. I found this article and thought it might be helpful for people who are planning an upcoming trips with their pets.
