We just had an amazing day with our dogs walking around Idaho Springs in Colorado. It was apparent that this town is very dog friendly. There were so many dogs walking around with their owners, enjoying the warm weather. Later we set out on a patio with other dog owners and had a beer and some pizza. It was a great day, and we definitely want to go back for a long weekend sometime. Thus, it made me thing about traveling with pets and how it can be difficult depending on the city. I found this article and thought it might be helpful for people who are planning an upcoming trips with their pets. Article credits is listed below. Today I wanted to share an article that I found that make me think back to my college days. I had always wanted to travel and looked into studying abroad. Sadly it didn’t happen for me, but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen for you. My main excuse was that it was so expensive, but things also changed in my life around that time. However, I still regret that I wasn’t able to have had that amazing opportunity. I would hate for others to miss, or pass, the possibility of a life altering experience due to money. Thus I decided to share this article so your dream of studying abroad can become a reality. Credit for article is listed below. Continue reading Here Are Some Simple Ways to Afford Studying Abroad

Hello everyone. Today I want to step away from my normal travel blog post and share something related to my other passion, sports. When people think about 4/20 and what it represents, they may not realize or think that it’s also National High Five day. Did you know that? I didn’t, but apparently it is. Since I didn’t know much about its origination, I decided to do a little research and share this info in a post. There are many origin stories of the high five, but the two most documented candidates are Dusty Baker and Glenn Burke of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Wiley Brown and Derek Smith of the Louisville Cardinals. Continue reading Happy National High Five Day – April 20th
Today I wanted to share how I was felling over the weekend as I look at going back to work on Monday. I am thankful and blessed for my job, and I enjoy what I do (thank you to my co-workers for the appreciation). However, I do have some bigger dreams and they aren’t in a cube surrounded by other people in cubes. I want to explore the world and see what else is out there to see. I created this blog mostly for fun, but it has made my sense of wanderlust much worse, lol. I can only keep plugging away at my dreams, and hope that one day they will come true. Robin Williams has been gone since August of 2014, but I still find it hard to believe he is gone. Every now and then I will be scrolling through on the tv remote and come across a movie or something he was in and it give me a moment of both sadness and happiness. Such an incident happened yesterday when I happened to come across and episode of Mork and Mindy. Found myself watching them rest of it laughing at the antics that was Robin Williams. Thus I decided to share a post about his and how he has touched us through the years. Continue reading Robin Williams – The Man Who Gave So Much To So Many People

I am having a major case of wanderlust and can’t help day dreaming about our 20th wedding anniversary next year. We have some trip planned for almost every month this year, but I can’t stop thinking about spending two weeks in Europe somewhere next May. We are going to use miles, so I can’t actually start looking until June (they start booking 11 months out). This might be part of the issue, as I keep thinking of places on our bucket list, then I read a post, or blog about another amazing place, and now it’s in the mix, lol. But we have narrowed it down to the top 4 places that are on the top of our list. Continue reading Top 4 Destinations on Our 20th Anniversary List
I am looking forward to visiting Thailand and a few others places in Southeast Asia one day, and it made me think about what shots if any are suggested or required before visiting. After doing some research it looks like I am good to go, with a few suggestions. There are a lot of questions about vaccinations, however this doesn’t only apply to travel. We have friends who had never vaccinated their child who was turning 5 and getting ready to go to school. I don’t know how it all worked out, as they moved out of state. However I don’t think people are able to get around the “medical reasons” or religious reasons anymore. I may be wrong, but it won’t work when trying to travel. Thus I wanted to share this post about getting or not getting vaccinated before traveling to certain countries. Continue reading Travel Vaccinations – Worth the Hassle and Expense?
