Our continual pursuit of visiting all 50 state capitol buildings led us to the Hawaii State Capitol in Honolulu. We have been to more than half of the capitols, and this one had some of the most friendly workers and tour guides. We could definitely feel the aloha spirit here. Before we even started the tour, we were let into one of the offices to take a picture of their Bronze State Seal. I love the seals, and this was so nice of them to let us do this. Ultimate Blog Challenge Day 5 – We have been traveling a lot for the last few years and it can be quite expensive depending on where you are visiting. However, no matter where we go, we have learned to do a lot of online searching and find free or cheaper activities in the area. We also will use things like Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc. There are a lot of these types of online services out there today, not to mention all the blog posts! Hello everyone and welcome to 2017! Hope you all had a fun and exciting New Year’s. I am starting out the year doing the Ultimate Blog Challenge, but more on that in a minute. As far as our end of 2016, we did something we had never done, and spent Christmas on the beautiful island of Oahu. New Year’s Eve we spent on the beach in Waikiki, talking to a couple from New Zealand and watching fireworks on the water at midnight. It was phenomenal. An incredible way to ring in a new year!
