Today I wanted to share an article that I found that make me think back to my college days. I had always wanted to travel and looked into studying abroad. Sadly it didn’t happen for me, but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen for you. My main excuse was that it was so expensive, but things also changed in my life around that time. However, I still regret that I wasn’t able to have had that amazing opportunity. I would hate for others to miss, or pass, the possibility of a life altering experience due to money. Thus I decided to share this article so your dream of studying abroad can become a reality. Credit for article is listed below. Continue reading Here Are Some Simple Ways to Afford Studying Abroad
I am looking forward to visiting Thailand and a few others places in Southeast Asia one day, and it made me think about what shots if any are suggested or required before visiting. After doing some research it looks like I am good to go, with a few suggestions. There are a lot of questions about vaccinations, however this doesn’t only apply to travel. We have friends who had never vaccinated their child who was turning 5 and getting ready to go to school. I don’t know how it all worked out, as they moved out of state. However I don’t think people are able to get around the “medical reasons” or religious reasons anymore. I may be wrong, but it won’t work when trying to travel. Thus I wanted to share this post about getting or not getting vaccinated before traveling to certain countries. Continue reading Travel Vaccinations – Worth the Hassle and Expense?
As you may have seen on my previous post this month, I am participating in the Ultimate Blog Challenge for the month of January. Each morning participants receive an email with ideas and suggestions for daily posts. The latest post was to review a book or movie we’ve read or seen recently, preferably in our niche. Well I haven’t read any books or seen any movies recently about travel, but I have read many travel magazines. Thus I decided to share some of my favorite travel magazines and a little about them. They are listed alphabetically. Hope you enjoy. Continue reading Travel Magazines That Bring us Closer to Our Dreams
I was happy when I saw the Ultimate Blog Challenge email this morning, because I get to share my favorite travel quote – “We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.” Anonymous. I have seen this travel quote many times and have always agreed with it. However, since I have been blogging, and reading more blogs, it has even more meaning. Continue reading Travel Quote – “We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.”
Today’s Word Press word is Relish, so I have to ask, what do you relish in your life? Is it the perfect job, the most amazing spouse, or the most intelligent children? Or is it having the biggest house in the best neighborhood with the most expensive car in the garage? I have never really been the type of person that was always trying to keep up with the Jones’. However, there might have been a little bit of desire in high school. I remember everyone always trying to outdo the next person, but I tried not to get sucked into it, and eventually it didn’t matter anymore. Continue reading What do you Relish in Life? Experiences or Stuff?

If you have read any of my Money Saving Tips for your Big Trip, you may know that we have 3 huge trips coming up this year, including Hawaii. While I am very excited for these awesome trips, the thought of pricing for our airline tickets really scared me. I have heard a lot of “experts” say to purchase your tickets on Tuesday evening or Sunday. With all of this information running around, I decided to do a little searching myself and see what I found. The amount of information was shocking. Continue reading Airline Tickets – Best Time to Book a Flight
First of all, a HUGE thank you to all of my readers. I appreciate you more than you know. You have kept me going with your comments and suggestions. It has been a fun but busy 6 months and I look forward to what the next 6 months will bring. For those bloggers out there reading my posts, you know what I mean.
